WJ South Limited is looking for an experienced Estimator to join our growing Commercial Team, supporting the delivery of road marking, high friction surfacing, road studs and highway maintenance projects across the South of England.
Responsibilities
- Produce accurate and competitive estimates for road marking, high friction surfacing, road studs, airfield markings and associated highway maintenance works.
- Interpret drawings, specifications, Bills of Quantities, schedules of rates and client requirements to prepare profitable tenders.
- Obtain supplier and subcontractor quotations, prepare cost models and identify commercial risks and value engineering opportunities.
- Support Operations through contract handover, pricing variations, compensation events and ongoing commercial support.
- Develop strong relationships with clients whilst maintaining the highest standards of quality, safety and commercial performance.
Requirements
- Experience within estimating, highways, road marking, civil engineering or a related construction environment is preferred.
- Good commercial awareness with the ability to interpret drawings and technical specifications.
- Strong Microsoft Excel and IT skills.
- Excellent organisational, communication and problem-solving abilities.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Flexible working
