Your Role as a Cleaner
As a Cleaner, you’ll play a vital role in the day-to-day operation of the nursery by ensuring all areas are clean, hygienic, and well-maintained. You’ll work closely with the nursery team to support a safe and welcoming space for everyone.
What You’ll Be Doing:
- Carrying out general cleaning duties including mopping, vacuuming, dusting, and sanitising surfaces
- Maintaining cleanliness in key areas such as playrooms, bathrooms, kitchens, and communal spaces
- Using cleaning products safely and in accordance with health & safety guidelines
- Ensuring all areas meet high standards of hygiene, especially in line with childcare regulations
- Reporting any maintenance issues or concerns to management
- Supporting the wider nursery team in creating a clean, safe environment for children and staff
About You:
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently
- Good attention to detail and commitment to high standards of cleanliness
- Flexible and able to adapt to different needs across the nursery
- Understanding of COSHH and basic health & safety
- Friendly and respectful attitude, with a team-oriented mindset
