Greater Manchester FE college are seeking a dedicated Chemistry Lecturer to join our team. This position offers an opportunity to contribute to the education of students in a dynamic further education environment. The role involves delivering BTEC and T Level courses in Chemistry, focusing on levels 2 and 3. The contract is temporary, set to begin on the 3rd of September 2026, for a duration of approximately 2-4 weeks, covering for a staff member on medical leave.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver engaging lessons in Chemistry for BTEC and T Level students.
- Provide additional tutorial and pastoral support to students as necessary.
- Monitor student progress and performance, ensuring adherence to college standards.
- Collaborate with colleagues to enhance the educational experience.
- Prepare lesson plans and assess student work.
Qualifications:
- A UK recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, DTLLS, Cert Ed, or equivalent).
- Experience delivering BTEC and T Level courses in Chemistry.
- Strong subject knowledge in Chemistry and related fields.
- Current DBS on the update service.
Education Requirements:
- Relevant degree in Chemistry or a closely related field.
Experience Requirements:
- Previous experience in teaching Chemistry at the further education level.
- Experience with BTEC and T Level curriculum is preferred.
- Ability to engage and motivate students.
