Our Finance department is thrilled to announce a fantastic opportunity for a site Costings Finance Analyst to join our vibrant team in Palethorpes.
This role will also be supporting and will require travel to our site in Poole.
In this role, you will be responsible for owning product costing, inventory valuation, standard costs, and manufacturing cost accuracy.
You’ll play a key role in helping the business understand what drives our costs, protect our margins and keep a close eye on production cost performance, turning data and insight into opportunities to improve how we work.

Working Hours
The working hours are Monday to Thursday 08:30am – 5pm, and 8.30pm – 4pm on Fridays
Your Duties Will Include
- Maintain accurate standard costs, including BOMs, routing assumptions, labour rates, and overhead rates
- End to end costings responsibility
- Own site costing structures within the ERP system
- Provide product margin, manufacturing cost, and inventory valuation reporting
- Perform detailed variance analysis across material, labour, yield, and overhead costs
- Partner with Manufacturing, Procurement, and NPD to support product costing and cost reduction opportunities
- Provide cost assumptions and standard cost inputs for budgets and forecasts
- Track manufacturing cost performance, production efficiency, and yield impacts
- Ensure costing integrity, inventory controls, and accurate stock valuation
- Support operational analysis, including budget control where required
- Provide costing inputs for Cap Ex business cases and operational impact assessments
- Using initiative to support continuous improvement on existing and new processes
- Maintain comprehensive site knowledge, such as new lines/processes/ways of working/product portfolio (brands, new launches etc.)
- Understanding of the wider marketplace and external influences (such as inflation)
- Challenging and influencing information provided from operations, commercial, NPD etc. such as line speed, number of people required, operational yields, raw materials required, prime cost targets
- This is nota traditional finance role with monthly/weekly reporting, so the capability to adapt to frequent change in pace is required
Your Skills and Experience
- Qualified / Part-Qualified (CIMA/ACCA)
- Strong understanding of standard costing and manufacturing finance
- ERP costing experience
- Confident analysing cost drivers, margins, variances, and inventory movements
- Strong Excel/data analysis skills
- Ability to partner with operational teams, explain financial impacts clearly (including to non-financial functions) and manage stakeholder expectations
- Ability to prioritise, organise and escalation tasks
- Attention to detail with a continuous improvement mindset
- Experience in food manufacturing desirable
- Flexibility to travel, full driving license and access to own vehicle is a essential
