The Best Connection are seeking various candidates for a Fire Stopping Protection Installer role! We are seeking experienced and reliable Passive Fire Protection Operatives to support our clients expanding workload across mainland UK. We are looking for either skilled Intumescent Sprayers and Firestopping Installers who can deliver high‑quality work on a wide range of projects, from small works to large‑scale schemes, OR candidates with relevant experience who may have worked in a similar trade, labouring, painting, etc.

A valid CSCS card is a must have! You will be responsible for delivering specialist passive fire protection installations, including:

  • Application of intumescent coatings to structural steel
  • Operation and maintenance of airless spray units
  • Accurate use of DFT readers and adherence to manufacturer specifications
  • Installation of firestopping systems and penetration seals
  • Cavity barrier installation
  • Structural fire‑resistant boarding and encasement

Work is carried out nationwide, operating from our clients Midlands‑based facility.

Requirements

  • Understanding of tested systems, compliance, and quality standards
  • Competent with airless spray equipment and DFT measurement
  • Experience with barriers, compound, and boarding systems
  • Valid CSCS card
  • Full, clean UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and maintain high standards of workmanship
