Triumph Consultants are looking for a Street Lighting Engineer with project management experience, responsible for the effective delivery and continuous improvement of public lighting across the highway network. The postholder will lead on the planning, coordination and execution of maintenance and improvement programmes, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, and operationally efficient while meeting statutory obligations and performance targets. This is a permanent role in Manchester.

Location: Manchester, Lancashire, M60 2LA

Key Requirements:

  • Hold an undergraduate degree or MSc in a relevant electrical or engineering discipline or hold a HNC / HND in Engineering or relevant equivalent or be a Chartered or Incorporated Engineer with a relevant institution membership.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead an innovative, forward thinking technical consultancy function for the assigned service area, ensuring that solutions are delivered in line with customer and legislative requirements.
  • Dependent on the service area, this may include software / information technology support, engineering, surveying, curating or other specialist functions.
  • Lead on the delivery of work packages (using project management methodology where appropriate), ensuring compliance with organisational objectives, consistency in approach and compliance with appropriate internal and legislative guidelines.
  • Lead on the planning, coordination and execution of maintenance and improvement programmes, ensuring assets are safe, compliant, and operationally efficient while meeting statutory obligations and performance targets.

Anticipated Length of Assignment: Unless otherwise stated (we do carry the occasional permanent vacancy) all of our roles are technically temporary, though opening assignments can be and often are, extended by clients on a longer term basis and can sometimes become permanent.
