IPS Group is partnering with a highly regarded specialist MGA to recruit a New Business / Trading Underwriter into its Manchester team. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and successful business specialising in non-standard property risks, including landlord, unoccupied, overseas and other specialist residential business. The Role:
Joining a dedicated New Business team, you'll focus on driving income growth, improving conversion rates and developing broker relationships across a varied portfolio of specialist property risks. This is a genuine trading role, offering exposure to everything from e-traded business through to larger and more complex cases, with significant underwriting authority and broker interaction.
Key responsibilities include:
- Underwriting new business property risks across a specialist portfolio
- Driving profitable growth and conversion performance
- Building and developing broker relationships
- Trading and negotiating to win and retain business
- Representing the business through broker meetings and market engagement
About You:
You’ll have underwriting experience within household, property or specialist lines and enjoy the relationship-building and commercial side of underwriting. Applications are welcomed from both standard and non-standard household underwriters looking to move into a more trading-focused environment.
