This is an exciting opportunity for a Locally Employed Doctor in an inpatient post in Psychiatry. This is a full-time role supporting the inpatient service, working alongside other resident doctors and a consultant psychiatrist.
The postholder requires 3 months UK medical work experience mandatory at F2/CT level.
- Attend ward rounds, conduct reviews, and create management plans for patients on the ward.
- Chair ward rounds in the absence of the consultant, seeking advice from the covering consultant when appropriate.
- Complete and review discharge summaries as required.
- MHA work such as Section 5 (2).
- Assess and manage physical health for patients on the inpatient wards.
- Participate in supporting the clinical decision making in the multidisciplinary team to ensure the delivery of high-quality care.
