An exciting new opportunity has become available to join our team in the capacity of Childcare Pracititoner in our newest Afterschool and Holiday Club in Old Trafford.
You will be responsible for working with our team to run the childcare centre which looks after children from the ages of 5 to 15 during after-school and school holiday hours.
- This role is for between 18.5 and 24 hours per week (Less than 18 hours considered)

- Minimum Term Time Hours: 3pm to 6.30pm
- Holiday Club Hours: To be discussed and has some flexibility
- Term Time Hours: 3.30pm to 6.30pm Monday to Friday
- Holiday Club Hours: 9am to 5pm

- Roles and Responsibilities
- Planning, preparing and delivering quality play opportunities within a safe and caring environment.
- Providing comprehensive care for the children including collecting them from school and delivering them safely to parents/carers.
- Providing refreshments and ensuring that hygiene, health and safety standards are met.
- Administering first aid when necessary.
- Setting up the play space including moving furniture and play equipment.
- Consulting with children and involving them in planning activities.
- Providing support and supervision to play workers and other staff, including volunteers.
- Holding regular staff meetings and conducting regular reviews and appraisals for staff
- Administration and record keeping, including staff and child records, financial records, ordering and purchasing, and working within an agreed budget.
- Developing and maintaining good communication with all members of the club, with schools, and especially with parents.
- Undertaking appropriate and relevant training.
- Monitoring and maintaining a healthy, safe and secure working environment.
- Working within the framework of the club’s policies and procedures, and the Early Years Foundation Stage.
- Having the ability to teach Arabic, Islamic Studies, Tajweed and Quran within our framework to different year groups.
- Apply appropriate teaching and learning strategies, which take account of individual learner need.
- Establish ground rules that underpin appropriate behaviour and respect for others
- Demonstrate the application of codes of practice and principles of inclusiveness, including respect for confidentiality
- Promote equality and engage with diversity, and know how to challenge discriminatory behaviour and attitudes
- Comply with all policies, legislations and all codes of practice of Red Brick Academy
