40-unit traditional build residential development in Manchester. The development will be built to a high specification, making this an excellent opportunity for an ASM who takes pride in quality, attention to detail and delivering a high standard of finish.
You will be working as a key part of the site management team, assisting with the day-to-day delivery of high-quality traditional build homes. You will be responsible for monitoring the progression of multiple plots, ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with the agreed programme, specification and quality standards.
This is a great opportunity to join a strong management team and work on a smaller, more bespoke development where quality and attention to detail are particularly important. Previous experience working on traditional build housing developments is essential to perform well within this role.
Main Duties will consist of:
- Assisting the Site Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of the development, monitoring progress across multiple plots and ensuring works are delivered safely, efficiently and in line with programme targets.
- Coordinating and supervising subcontractors and site operatives, ensuring labour, materials and plant are available when required to maintain the smooth running of the development.
- Working closely with the Site Manager and wider team to identify potential issues early and ensure any delays are resolved quickly.
- Carrying out regular site inspections, paying close attention to workmanship, quality and finish.
- Ensuring works are completed in accordance with drawings, specifications and the required standards, with a strong focus on delivering a high-quality product for the end customer.
- Ensuring health and safety procedures are adhered to at all times, alongside completing relevant site paperwork, inspections and reports.
The successful candidate will require a strong background in traditional build housing and a good understanding of the construction process. You must be able to work effectively as part of a site management team, communicate confidently with subcontractors and take a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues.
The smaller scale of this development means this role will suit an Assistant Site Manager who enjoys a more hands-on position and wants to take real ownership of quality and progression across the site.
Qualifications:
- CSCS
- SSSTS
- First Aid (ideal but not essential)
- MUST have previous experience working on traditional build housing developments that we can reference.
