We are looking for experienced educators to join a vital national project.
You will help build the benchmarks that ensure AI tutoring tools are safe, accurate, and pedagogically sound for students across the UK.
About the Role
This is a flexible, remote role running until 30th September 2026.
You will be part of a team evaluating AI systems, creating teaching scenarios, and setting the standards by which AI educational tools are measured.
Working approximately 5-10 hours a week.
You will u se your subject expertise to create realistic student-teacher conversations, develop benchmarking criteria, and score AI responses.
You will also develop rubrics to assess the quality and evaluate and compare the AI responses.
Key Requirements
Mandatory
- Secondary Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
- Verified experience teaching in English schools (references required).
- Experience teaching Year 9 in Mathematics, Sciences (Biology, Chemistry, Physics), English, or Modern Foreign Languages (French, German, Spanish).
- Comfortable using web-based platforms and learning new software
- Your own laptop and reliable internet connection.
Additional but not required
- Designated safeguarding experience (e. g., former or current DSL/Deputy DSL, or Level 3+ safeguarding training with practical child protection responsibilities).
- SEND experience (SENCO, specialist school, or recognised L3+ SEND training).
Desirable but not required
- 2+ years of experience delivering approved teacher training (ITT, NPQs, ECF, etc.).
- 1+ years of 1:1 tutoring experience with Year 9 students.
