We are seeking an experienced CNC Programmer to join a fast-paced manufacturing team. The successful candidate will create, optimize, and validate CNC programs to support production of precision components, using industry-leading CAM/CAD tools.
Key responsibilities:
- Produce and optimize CNC programs for milling operations to meet print specifications and production targets.
- Use PowerMILL to generate and simulate toolpaths, ensuring efficient, collision-free programs.
- Use Autodesk software (e.g., Inventor, Fusion 360 or AutoCAD) to work from CAD models and prepare files for CAM.
- Translate engineering drawings and GD&T into accurate machining strategies.
- Select tooling, cutting parameters, feeds and speeds; revise programs based on material and process feedback.
- Simulate, test and troubleshoot programs on machines; support setup and first-off inspections.
- Collaborate with production, quality and engineering to improve processes and reduce cycle times.
- Maintain program documentation and revision control.
Essential skills and experience:
- Minimum 2 years' hands-on CNC programming experience.
- Proven experience using PowerMILL for CAM programming and simulation.
- Experience with Autodesk products for CAD/CAM workflows.
- Strong understanding of CNC machining processes, tooling and cutting parameters.
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and apply GD&T.
- Problem-solving mindset, attention to detail and commitment to quality.
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively in a team environment.
- Experience with multi-axis (3-5 axis) machining.
- Familiarity with post-processing and G-code optimization.
- Practical machine shop experience (setup/operators) is a plus.
