Please note this role is currently only being advertised to staff members who are currently working within the Kent and Medway ICs. We are looking for an ENT Booking Clerk on a permanent contract. This is an excellent opportunity to gain experience within our CAU Booking team.

Dealing with new referrals, managing waiting lists and helping with patient queries as part of a busy department based in a large Acute Hospital Trust. The ENT service hours are 8.00am - 6.00pm Monday - Friday, therefore your working pattern will be between these hours.

The Head and Neck Directorate accounts for over one third of the Trust’s outpatient activity, this team is a key department within the trust ensuring we provide a high quality, timely service to our patients. You will be working closely with other team members, medical secretaries, clinicians and management team to ensure patients are managed appropriately.

You will need to have excellent customer care skills; extensive training will be provided to gain a thorough understanding of the trusts access policy and the 18-week RTT pathway guideline. Previous healthcare administration would be an advantage but not essential for the advertised role as training will be given. Knowledge of using Microsoft Word and Excel would be preferable.
