The predicted salary is between 38140 - 46616 £ per year.

The postholder will be expected to support the implementation of the Aspirant Cancer Career and Education Development (ACCEND) programme. Support will be given to enable implementation of this national programme. You will also be required to support the development and implementation of Clinical Skills in cancer care, aligned to the ACCEND educational offers and Trust policies and guidelines, working as part of the Education Faculty to achieve a cohesive and comprehensive approach to Clinical Education across the Trust.

You will be part of the Simulation Faculty to facilitate training, promoting and adhering to the principles of improving individual skills, handling of emergencies and human factors within cancer care, utilising subject matter experts as appropriate. Work closely with Patient Safety and Clinical Governance team to monitor and critically analyse incident reports to identify themes/trends and initiate remedial action as required to reduce and prevent reoccurrence.

The postholder will support the development and implementation of Clinical Skills in cancer care, aligned to the ACCEND educational offers and Trust policies and guidelines. Contribute to the delivery of educational programmes related to cancer and palliative care in addition to supporting the education team in evaluating the effectiveness of learning activities and support redesign programmes to meet the organisational needs, using the ACCEND framework as a tool to implement.

Support the education and training of multidisciplinary groups of staff on core, essential and job specific clinical skills. To support practice educators, matrons and ward managers in the development and delivery of high standards of patient focused, evidence-based care.

Under the leadership of the Associate Director of Clinical Education, you will use your initiative, analytical skills and judgement to ensure a quality learning environment is maintained. At all times, you will work in accordance with the principles governed by your professional registered body i.e. Nursing & Midwifery Council (NMC), Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) and Trust Policies.

You will be required to identify and promote evidence-based simulation and clinical skills within the Trust, through implementation and facilitation of classroom and clinically based teaching/education, to ensure that all staff groups are equipped with the necessary skills and knowledge to perform their roles competently in cancer care. The postholder will undertake audits and assist in the development of professional educational policies, standards, and best practice guidelines, aligned to the ACCEND programme.
