THE ROLE
As a Guide, you’ll be at the heart of the Lapland UK experience, helping families create magical memories they will treasure forever.
You’ll be one of the first points of contact for guests, welcoming them into our magical world, guiding them through the experience and ensuring every moment feels smooth, safe and full of wonder.
You’ll combine exceptional guest service, confident communication and a warm, friendly approach while working alongside performance, operational and technical teams to help bring the immersive experience to life.
- You’ll
- Welcome families warmly and professionally as one of their first points of contact
- Guide guests through designated areas of the Lapland UK experience while maintaining the immersive nature of the production
- Answer guest questions and support requests using Lapland UK terminology and procedures
- Resolve guest queries and concerns calmly and positively, escalating where required
- Provide clear guidance and support to help ensure a smooth and enjoyable guest journey
- Monitor timings and communicate updates with relevant teams to help the event run seamlessly
- Support guest flow, safety, accessibility and exceptional service standards
- Work closely with performance, operational and technical teams
- Support the smooth operational delivery of guest-facing experiences
- Support VIP and PR guest requests as required by the VIP Manager and wider team
- Follow all Lapland UK health, safety, accessibility, costume and operational procedures
- Attend all required paid training sessions
SKILLS NEEDED
- Friendly, approachable and confident when communicating with families and guests
- Experienced in guest-facing roles within events, theatre, hospitality or similar fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Calm, professional and confident in a busy environment
- Passionate about creating memorable experiences and delivering exceptional service
- Positive, reliable and able to work effectively as part of a team
- Flexible and comfortable working weekdays, weekends and key seasonal dates
- Comfortable working within an immersive theatrical environment
- Able to work collaboratively with performance, operational and technical teams
- Strong awareness of guest needs and the ability to respond positively to different situations
REQUIREMENTS
- Available for the full live event period from 7 November to 24 December 2026
- Available to commit to a minimum of three shifts per week
- Available to attend all required paid training between late October and early November 2026
- Comfortable working in a busy, customer-facing environment
- Able to follow Lapland UK health, safety, accessibility, costume and operational standards
- Able to remain professional and engaging throughout the guest experience
- Willing to work flexibly across weekdays, weekends and key seasonal dates
- Willing to fully embrace the Lapland UK experience and story

- APPEARANCE REQUIREMENTS
- All jewellery and piercings must be removed while in costume, including clear replacements, tooth gems and grills
- Neatly groomed, natural-coloured hair
- Long hair must be worn in plaits when required for elf roles
- Religious head coverings, if worn, must be neutral brown, beige or navy
- Natural makeup only, with foundation matching natural skin tone if worn
- Minimal mascara, with no false eyelashes
- No tattoos permitted from the collar bone upwards for customer-facing roles, with additional tattoo restrictions depending on role requirements
- Watches, smartwatches and phones must be securely stored in lockers during shifts
