Clinical Support Worker - East Cheshire (Inpatient) in Macclesfield

Cheshire and Wirral Partnership NHS Foundation Trust is looking for Band 3 Clinical Support Workers to work in our existing teams in Macclesfield. Our services consist of the following specialist inpatient areas:

• Mulberry Ward - A 26 bed acute admissions ward
• Silk Ward - A 15 bed dementia ward aged 18-65

All areas have a successful structure of MDT working, and you will be part of a supportive multi-disciplinary team with an ethos of collaborative working between individual service users, carers, and other stakeholders. The Trust currently supports the Real Living Wage (RLW) hourly rate as set by the Living Wage Federation and will apply a pay supplement if the national A4C hourly rate falls below this.

We are looking for motivated support workers to join our team. You should possess commitment to team working and excellent standards of care. You will be able to demonstrate a real enthusiasm for mental health care. Applicants should have some experience of working with people with either a Mental Health condition, Dementia, Intellectual disability, or Autism Spectrum Disorder and who can demonstrate their compassion and optimism for the rehabilitation and recovery of this client group as well as a desire for ongoing professional development.

You will receive excellent training opportunities for clinical development and regular supervision and appraisal. All wards offer a 24-hour service; therefore, the successful candidates must be able to work a full range of 12-hour shifts including night shifts and weekends. There are regular opportunities for career progression throughout the organisation.

All new starters will commence in post on one fixed start date each month, in line with our Prepare to Care (P2C) induction programme date. P2C offers up to 3 weeks training to support you to meet the induction/initial training requirements of the role.
