As an Engagement and Inclusion Skills Coach, you will be part of a dedicated team committed to transforming lives through learning.

Working across both Young People’s Learning and Adult Learning provision, you will support individuals to re-engage with education, overcome barriers and achieve their goals.

You’ll deliver high-quality, inclusive pastoral and wellbeing support, helping learners from a wide range of backgrounds build confidence, develop resilience and gain the skills they need for future success.

Working closely with safeguarding colleagues, you will ensure support for vulnerable and at-risk learners is responsive and tailored to individual needs.

By building strong, trusted relationships, you will empower learners to take ownership of their progress, raising aspirations and encouraging sustained engagement, attendance and progression.

This is a rewarding role where you will make a lasting difference, helping learners achieve positive outcomes and move forward with confidence.

  • What you’ll do
  • Deliver targeted 1:1 and small group interventions, supporting wellbeing, motivation, confidence and overcoming practical barriers to learning.
  • Support learners to develop coping strategies, build positive routines and access appropriate support services.
  • Contribute to the development, review and delivery of Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) and behaviour and attendance contracts.
  • Promote good attendance and sustained engagement by identifying early signs of disengagement and implementing timely interventions.
  • Provide support in community or work-based settings where required, working with employers and partners to create positive and supportive learning experiences.
