About the Post
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Tandoor Chef to join our kitchen team.
This role is ideal for someone with extensive knowledge of traditional tandoor cooking techniques and the ability to prepare high-quality grilled meats, seafood, breads, and speciality dishes.
You will be responsible for operating and maintaining the tandoor section while ensuring authentic flavours, consistency, and excellent presentation.

Key Responsibilities and Duties
- Prepare and cook a variety of tandoori dishes, including kebabs, tikka, grilled meats, seafood, and vegetarian specialities.
- Prepare and bake traditional breads such as naan, roti, kulcha, and other tandoor-based products.
- Operate and manage the tandoor oven safely and efficiently during service.
- Marinate meats, poultry, seafood, and vegetables using traditional spice blends and recipes.
- Ensure all tandoor dishes are cooked to the highest standards of quality, flavour, texture, and presentation.
- Manage the tandoor section during service, ensuring timely preparation and delivery of orders.
- Assist with menu development, including seasonal specials and new tandoori dishes.
- Monitor stock levels of meats, spices, marinades, and other ingredients, assisting with ordering when required.
- Maintain high standards of cleanliness, hygiene, and organisation within the tandoor and kitchen areas.
- Ensure proper storage, handling, and rotation of food items in accordance with food safety regulations.
- Follow all food hygiene, allergen, health and safety, and fire safety procedures.
- Work closely with the Head Chef and kitchen team to ensure smooth and efficient service.
- Support the training and development of junior kitchen staff when required.
