We are looking for a motivated and compassionate assistant psychologist to join the Parent and Infant Relationship (PAIR) CAMHS Team in Luton, to form part of the exciting Luton Best Start Family Hub initiative. Luton Best Start Family Hubs and Flying Start are a Luton early years partnership and strategy for under 6’s. Flying Start have developed early targeted and specialist support for parents, infants and young children, working closely with CAMHS Luton to support staff to undertake infant-parent observations and early years’ interventions.
Within Best Start Family Hubs, Luton CAMHS works closely to further develop integrated pathways for families so they can receive the right level of support at the right time. You will help develop and implement the Family Hubs model of early support for families with infants and young children in Luton, to deliver and evaluate the complex community interventions. You will help analyse outcome/evaluation measure data to measure impact and write reports to disseminate evidence thereof. You will need to advise other staff on the use of outcomes and stakeholders on their data analysis and emerging themes. You will be able to conduct literature searches and summarise latest evidence, and be able to conduct evaluation and research studies as appropriate and agreed for the service.
You will also deliver training to frontline practitioners on early years’ mental health and contribute to the provision of evidence based interventions for parents and very young children. You will be based in the Family Hubs and CAMHS. You will provide suitable clinical interventions under the supervision of an experienced Clinical Psychologist or senior clinician as appropriate as part of the multidisciplinary team.
Our mission is to make a positive difference to people's lives by improving the quality of life for all we serve. Our values are: We Care, We Respect, We are Inclusive – so we are looking for people who live and breathe these qualities when supporting service users and carers, and in their relationships with colleagues in the Trust and our partner organisations.
