Cygnet Healthcare is looking for an experienced Support Workerto join our team working at Long Eaton Day Service.

Youll be working40 hours a week, 8 hour day shifts Monday-Friday only, making a positive difference to the lives of the people in our care at Long Eaton Day Service.

Long Eaton Day Services specialises in supporting individuals with a primary diagnosis of a learning disability, in addition to those with complex health needs, physical disabilities and those with autism.

We have a long history of enhancing the quality of life of the individuals who attend the service.

We are looking for someone who is

  • Driven with a desire to make a real difference in peoples lives
  • Experienced for 1 year plus in a support setting working with learning disabilities
  • An excellent communicator and a good team player
  • Caring and understanding with the energy required to provide a trusting, stimulating & varied environment
  • Passionate about empowering & supporting service user independence

Your day-to-day

  • Offer enhanced care with a flexible learning approach for all the people in our care
  • Provide guidance & encouragement through physical & emotional support
  • Learn about individuals specific needs & provide help in the most appropriate way
  • Assist with medical & ; welfare needs
  • Report on medical & welfare needs as required
  • Safeguard all patients
  • Maintain a safe, clean environment for all
