We're looking for a talented SCADA Engineer to join our Operational Technology team and help drive the reliability, resilience and evolution of one of the UK's largest industrial control system environments.
You'll play a key role in supporting and improving the technology that enables our frontline teams to operate critical wastewater services while helping us reduce pollution, improve environmental outcomes and deliver better performance for our customers.
This is far more than a traditional support role.

What you'll be doing as a Site SCADA Engineer (Waste)
As a Waste Site SCADA Systems Engineer, you'll be responsible for maintaining and enhancing site-based SCADA systems across our wastewater operations estate.
These systems provide critical monitoring, control and operational insight across treatment works and pumping stations.
- Support and maintain critical SCADA platforms including AVEVA System Platform/Wonderware, Factory Talk View and Iconics.
- Ensure high levels of system availability, resilience and security across operational sites.
- Troubleshoot and resolve faults involving SCADA systems, HMIs, PLCs and communications infrastructure.
- Deliver upgrades, patches and improvements that keep systems secure and reliable.
- Support disaster recovery planning and business continuity arrangements.
- Work closely with operations teams to understand challenges and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Provide technical input into capital delivery and OT improvement projects.
- Champion OT change management, risk management and cybersecurity best practice.
- Act as a subject matter expert, sharing knowledge and mentoring colleagues across the wider OT community.

What we're looking for
We're interested in talented engineers who are passionate about Operational Technology and enjoy solving complex technical challenges.
You'll ideally have experience in
- SCADA, PLC, ICA or industrial automation environments.
- AVEVA System Platform/Wonderware, Factory Talk View, Iconics or similar technologies.
- Industrial communications and OT networking.
- Troubleshooting critical operational systems.
- Working with operational stakeholders and translating technical issues into practical solutions.
You'll stand out if you also have
- Experience within water, utilities, manufacturing, energy or other process industries.
- Experience supporting industrial control system projects or major system upgrades.
- Understanding of network design, redundancy and resilience technologies.
