A creative, multidisciplinary engineering consultancy is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join its growing London team.
The practice works across a diverse range of sectors and is recognised for its collaborative approach to delivering innovative and sustainable engineering solutions.
This is an excellent opportunity for a Mechanical Engineer with 3-6+ years' experience in building services design to take a leading role in the delivery of projects from concept through to completion.
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading project delivery, managing design outputs, liaising with clients and project teams, and supporting the development of junior engineers.
Key Requirements
- - Minimum 3-6 years' experience in a mechanical building services engineering role
- - Degree-qualified (Level 7 or equivalent) in Engineering or a related discipline
- - Working towards professional registration/Chartership (e. g. MCIBSE preferred)
- - Strong experience in the analysis and design of building services systems
- - Ability to develop practical, sustainable and cost-effective engineering solutions
- - Experience leading projects and coordinating multidisciplinary teams
- - Excellent communication and client-facing skills
- - Good understanding of relevant health and safety, environmental and sustainability requirements
- - Ability to work independently and collaboratively within project teams
Key Responsibilities
- - Lead the delivery of mechanical building services projects
- - Produce and manage drawings, calculations, specifications and technical reports
- - Review and check engineering designs and project deliverables
- - Develop technical solutions in line with project briefs, regulations and best practice
- - Coordinate materials, systems and construction methodologies
- - Attend client meetings, site visits and surveys
- - Support project procurement activities and construction-stage services
- - Supervise and mentor junior engineers where required
