Senior Imaging Systems Administrator | Barts Health NHS Trust
Barts Health is seeking a Senior Imaging Systems Administrator to contribute to the delivery and resilience of digital imaging systems and services across the Trust.
Based at St Bartholomew's Hospital (SBH), you will be accountable to the Imaging Systems Site Lead and will work closely with colleagues in the PACS Team, Imaging Services, ICT and other staff groups across Barts Health.
This senior technical role requires strong Imaging systems and information management skills to deliver the following key responsibilities:
- Act as the senior operational lead for Imaging systems at SBH, maintaining integrity, availability and performance of Sectra PACS, RIS and associated systems.
- Contribute to the ongoing development and strategic direction of Imaging systems for Barts Health.
- Provide technical and specialist input on an autonomous basis.
- Analyse and resolve complex technical issues, acting as a senior escalation and support contact for Imaging system users at SBH and other Trust sites.
- Provide training and support to system users at SBH, elsewhere in Barts Health and occasionally at regional level.
Key requirements
- Detailed understanding of digital Imaging systems and clinical Imaging workflows.
- Confidence, excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work effectively with multidisciplinary teams.

To lead, facilitate and be responsible for the safe use of Imaging systems by radiologists, radiographers and other imaging staff.
The post holder will work as a specialist with expertise in Imaging Information Technology and all aspects of Imaging workflow.
The post holder will have responsibility for daily management, on-going support (including training) and service development of the imaging systems for their site.
This includes the interfaces and integration with connected systems.
The post holder will act autonomously to communicate with users of all supported systems and their suppliers to understand, troubleshoot and rectify problems.
To lead on Trust strategic projects involving PACS and RIS, providing technical guidance and hands on support to suppliers and other project teams.
