Security Operations Manager - Monday to Friday

CIS Security has an exceptional opportunity for an experienced Security Operations Manager to lead operations for the tallest commercial skyscraper in the prestigious location in the heart of London.

We are seeking an inspiring, highly capable leader who will drive the delivery of a worldclass, customer-focused security service, ensuring a safe, welcoming, and seamless experience for occupiers and visitors alike.

The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in setting high standards, driving innovation, and embedding a culture of continuous improvement within this landmark highrise building.

The role holds operational and strategic responsibility for delivering a best-in-class, five-star security service in line with the site’s standards, driving performance through KPI management, risk mitigation, training, budget control, and stakeholder engagement.

The Security Operations Manager acts as a key link between front-line security teams and the Head of Security, translating strategic objectives into effective daily operations while championing the building's values around sustainability, wellness, inclusion, and continuous learning.

  • Shifts: Monday to Friday - 0800 to 1700

Experience & Skills Required

  • Proven experience in a Site Management or Head of Security position for a minimum of 5 years for a portfolio worth at least £1m
  • Preferable experience within a complex, high-profile environment
  • Demonstrable experience managing a large multi skilled, diverse team of not less than 30 personnel
  • Valid SIA Licence (essential)
  • Strong people management skills with the ability to motivate, coach, and develop others
  • Commercial awareness with experience managing budgets, cost control, and procurement.
  • Proven ability to manage key stakeholders and customers within complex environments
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and influencing skills, with confidence delivering presentations and reports to senior stakeholders
  • Results-driven with a strong focus on performance, quality, and continuous improvement in line with the site’s values
  • Highly organised, with strong analytical skills for KPI and performance reporting.
  • A calm, decisive, and resilient approach, able to lead effectively in high-pressure or emergency situations.
  • Sound understanding of security legislation, licensing (e. g. SIA) and risk assessment
  • Excellent written and IT skills; Timegate experience is advantageous
  • Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties.
  • Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested.
  • Guest-focused mindset, bringing a five-star, hospitality-led approach to security service delivery.

  • Ensure all day-to-day contractual administration aligns with SLA and KPI requirements
  • Produce and present monthly management reports, demonstratingcompliance with SLA and KPI requirements
  • Own and maintain the tracker against the building's four strategic pillars, ensuring the security team's contribution is measured and reported
  • Sustainability & the Environment - embed practices that minimise environmental footprint and support the building's long-term, adaptable operation
  • Health & Wellness - support a flexible, holistic approach to how, when, and where the team works

  • Ensure all security operations align with contractual agreements and industry regulations
  • Oversee and implement comprehensive training programmes for all security personnel
  • Identify security risks and threats, maintain the risk register, and elevate critical issues to the Head of Security
  • Manage the sourcing and procurement of security-related equipment to support operations
  • Manage disciplinary and grievance processes fairly and consistently, in line with company policy, ensuring documentation issubmittedto HR within 48 hours
  • Oversee security-related expenses, manage departmental budgets, and ensure cost-effective solutions without compromising security standards
  • Directly manager & mentor on-site senior management and identifyopportunities for innovation across the contract
  • Act as the key liaison between security teams, senior leadership, and external agencies
  • Ensure high standards and excellence in guest relations and operational performance.
  • Ensure all staff have clearobjectivesand a thorough understanding of their roles and assignment instructions
  • Ensure all incidents are responded to, escalated, recorded, and reported in line with agreed procedures
  • Drive staff compliance through engagement, motivation, and mentoring programmes
  • Ensure performance management, mentoring meetings, and outcomes are formally documented
  • Take overall responsibility for the wellbeing, welfare, and engagement of all personnel assigned to the contract
  • Undertake any other reasonable duties as required by CIS Security Services and/or the customer
