CIS Security have an exciting opportunity available for a vigilant, professional and detail-oriented Security Control Room Officer to support the delivery of a safe, secure and customer-focused corporate environment for Accenture. The role acts as a central point of coordination for security systems, incident response, access control, communication and operational escalation. The successful candidate will represent CIS Security and the customer by demonstrating high standards of professionalism, discretion, customer service and control room discipline always.

Position: Security Officer

Location: London (EC3M)

Pay Rate: £14.80 per hour

Hours: Average 56 hours per week

Shifts: 3 Days, 3 Nights, 3 Off

Job Requirements:

  • SIA Door Supervisor Licence required
  • Security and customer service experience is required
  • Must be flexible and be able to work; days, nights, weekends
  • Good levels of customer service, communication both written & verbal at all times
  • Flexible in the approach to daily duties and additional events when held on site
  • Must have five years of checkable work history
  • Able to work in a team as well as on your own and can be pro-active and think on your feet
  • Be calm under pressure and confident in dealing with confrontational situations in a calm and professional manner
  • Physically fit to complete patrols internally and externally and able to stand/walk during shift
  • To always portray a friendly, professional and courteous demeanour
  • Have the IT skills and the ability to understand and use varied Access Control and CCTV systems and platforms / integrated systems
  • Be confident you can undertake 100% of all specific duties
  • Be able to provide all the documentation and vetting information requested

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Able to demonstrate and deliver high quality guarding and customer service to both our clients and service users
  • To ensure that all visitors and staff are dealt with efficiently, always providing an exceptional customer service ensuring that their expectations are met, if not exceeded
  • Able to understand Corporate Escalation Process, - Escalate and Disseminate information in a timely manner to the correct personnel in the event or during an emergency or Incident on site
  • The role includes you to conduct opening & closing procedures of a building, patrolling, reception duties, access control, answering incoming telephone calls, conducting emergency procedures
  • Monitor CCTV cameras across multiple sites to detect and respond to any suspicious activities or security breaches
  • Monitor alarm systems and respond promptly to any alerts
  • Oversee electronic access control systems to ensure only authorised personnel enter secured areas
  • Verify the identity, credentials and access requirements of visitors, contractors and staff in line with site procedures before access is granted
  • Ensure visitor, contractor and access records are accurately maintained, including entry times, areas accessed and any relevant security observations
  • Monitor access activity and escalate any attempted or suspected unauthorised access in accordance with the corporate escalation process
  • Respond to security incidents in real-time by coordinating with on-site security personnel and emergency services as needed
  • Support the implementation of emergency procedures, including alarm response, evacuation support, incident coordination and communication with relevant parties
  • Maintain a calm, controlled and professional approach during incidents, ensuring information is captured accurately and instructions are followed in line with site procedures
  • Ensure all control room equipment, including CCTV, alarms, and communication systems, are functioning correctly
  • Collaborate with IT and security teams to implement updates and enhancements to security systems
  • Monitor the Building Management System (BMS) for any issues related to building operations, including HVAC, lighting, and other critical infrastructure
  • Identify and escalate issues discovered on the BMS to the relevant facilities management or maintenance teams
  • Maintain accurate logs of all activities within the control room, including surveillance monitoring, incident responses, and equipment checks
  • Generate regular reports on security activities and incidents for management review
  • Ensure adherence to company security policies and procedures
  • Participate in ongoing training to stay current with security protocols and technology
  • Ensure all duties are completed in line with CIS Security, client site procedures, assignment instructions and applicable security policies
  • Handle all information, incidents, visitor records, access data and operational communications with appropriate discretion and confidentiality
