We are seeking a highly experienced Procurement Business Partner to provide senior procurement support across a UK-wide portfolio of construction and capital projects. This is a specialist procurement role focused on projects, design and build activities, rather than a general facilities management procurement position.

We are looking for an individual with a strong construction and project procurement background, capable of leading complex tendering activities, managing pre-qualification and supplier selection processes, and ensuring value for money, compliance and commercial excellence throughout the procurement lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead procurement activities for construction, design and build, and capital project works across the UK.
  • Manage robust PQQ and tendering processes to identify and appoint the most suitable supply chain partners.
  • Work closely with project stakeholders to deliver value for money and commercially effective procurement solutions.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, innovation and customer service.
  • Lead the mobilisation of new suppliers, ensuring compliance, assurance requirements and contractual obligations are fully met.
  • Act as the key link between operational stakeholders and Procurement, ensuring alignment of objectives and procurement strategies.
  • Ensure supplier assurance processes and contractual governance requirements are maintained and continuously improved.
  • Drive contract management and risk mitigation activities, securing favourable commercial terms and minimising operational and financial risk.

Professional and Personal Competencies/Qualifications

  • Previous procurement experience within construction, projects, design and build environments.
  • Strong knowledge and practical experience of NEC4 contracts.
  • Understanding of construction methods, construction technology and standard forms of measurement.
  • Proven experience managing PQQs, competitive tendering exercises and supplier selection processes.
  • Experience supporting capital projects and construction project delivery.
  • Extensive and demonstrable procurement expertise within a complex operational environment.
  • Strong commercial awareness and business acumen.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to engage effectively at all levels through presentations, meetings, written communications and face-to-face interactions.
