The Performance and Information team provide a high-quality analytics service for clinicians and managers to support decision making. We are looking for creative people with a passion for using data and visualisations to influence and provide insights to help improve health outcomes of people experiencing mental health problems. The Performance and Information team has been recognised by NHSI as a national leader in developing high quality performance reports.
The role requires the successful candidate to:
- Provide performance reports for management on key areas for service line/Trust.
- Produce reports (both internal and external to the Trust), analyse data and utilise visualisation software to enhance reporting.
- Provide advice and guidance to managers and clinicians on the use, interpretation, analysis and presentation of data.
- Act as clinical system and dashboard champion in relation to performance related information by supporting clinical teams in the effective use of clinical systems and dashboards.
- Prioritise, manage and plan own workload to ensure the Trust’s returns meet weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual reporting deadlines.

Work closely with professional colleagues, corporate services and partner agencies to continuously improve services. Promote high performance standards in the achievement of the Trust’s objectives and priorities. Ensure that colleagues are treated fairly; behave in a non-discriminatory way and challenge the discriminatory behaviour of others. Work with the Heads of Service Delivery and the Clinical Managers in the provision and use of information to assist performance improvement and act as the liaison between the clinical services and the central performance team.
Undertake investigations in relation to areas of sub-optimal performance in clinical teams as directed by the Head of Performance and Heads of Service Delivery. Work with operational leads to understand the issues that have led to sub-optimal performance. Contribute towards the development and maintenance of Trust wide guidance documentation in relation to the recording and monitoring of performance information as directed by the Head of Performance. Provide cover for other Performance staff when they are sick, on leave etc as directed by the Head of Performance. Work closely with the Performance & Information Management team to deliver accurate and timely activity information. Support clinical teams and administration staff in ensuring that performance information is entered into clinical systems and other appropriate systems in a correct and timely manner.
