Our client, a reputable leader in the equipment maintenance sector, is seeking a dedicated Mobile Powered Access Engineer to join their dynamic team near Peckham and South East London. Duties
- Conduct statutory examinations and inspections of mobile elevating work platforms (MEWPs) and similar powered access equipment
- Operate static boom MEWPs, including vehicle-mounted, trailer-mounted, and spider lifts with outriggers
- Maintain, repair, and service mobile access machinery to industry standards
- Plan and manage repairs and maintenance activities, either onsite or in the workshop
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations at all times as a Mobile Powered Access Engineer
- Support the on-call rota, providing standby and emergency assistance when required
- Keep detailed documentation of inspections, repairs, and maintenance activities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mobile Powered Access Engineer or similar position within the motor trade industry
- CAP qualification with IPAF 1B certification
- Strong knowledge of mobile platforms, inspection procedures, and safety standards
- Valid UK driving licence with the ability to operate the company van
- Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach to customer service
- Ability to work independently and efficiently in field-based environments
