CBW Staffing Solutions is currently recruiting for a Maintenance Plumber to be based at a prestigious commercial office building in Liverpool Street, London, supporting a high-end law firm. This is an excellent opportunity to join a well-established FM service provider, working across a modern corporate environment as part of a close-knit team of engineers.
The successful candidate will hold a plumbing qualification (Level 2 NVQ / City & Guilds) and have a strong background in commercial building maintenance. Alongside planned and reactive plumbing works, you will also carry out a variety of general building services maintenance including basic electrical tasks, AHU maintenance, fan coil units, plant room checks and other fabric and mechanical duties.

Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance across the site
- Perform plumbing repairs including toilets, taps, sinks, pipework and sanitaryware
- Diagnose and repair faults within commercial plumbing systems
- Carry out basic electrical maintenance including lamp changes, socket replacements, emergency lighting checks and minor fault finding
- Undertake routine maintenance on AHUs, fan coil units, pumps, valves and associated mechanical plant
- Complete water hygiene tasks including temperature monitoring and flushing regimes
- Assist with minor mechanical and plumbing installations
- Carry out general building fabric maintenance including doors, locks, ceiling tiles and minor repairs
- Respond promptly to reactive maintenance requests across all building services
- Escort and supervise specialist subcontractors
- Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health & safety procedures
- Maintain accurate maintenance records using the site's CAFM system
Requirements
- Level 2 NVQ / City & Guilds in Plumbing (Essential)
- Experience within commercial building maintenance or Facilities Management
- Good all-round building services knowledge with a multi-skilled approach
- Comfortable carrying out basic electrical maintenance and first-line fault finding
- Experience maintaining AHUs, FCUs and associated mechanical plant is desirable
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive attitude
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
- Reliable, professional and able to work effectively within a team
