A leading provider of laboratory and containment solutions is looking to recruit a Laboratory Field Service Engineer to support customers across the UK. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with experience working on laboratory, pharmaceutical or scientific equipment who is looking for a diverse field-based role with extensive training and development opportunities.
Working within highly regulated environments, you will play a key role in ensuring critical laboratory equipment operates safely, reliably and in accordance with industry standards.
The Role
- Service, maintain, commission and validate laboratory and containment equipment at customer sites
- Carry out fault finding and repairs on airflow, containment and laboratory systems
- Complete testing, calibration and certification activities in line with industry standards
- Support equipment installations and provide technical assistance to customers
- Produce accurate service reports and validation documentation
- Travel throughout your designated region, with occasional overnight stays when required
The Candidate
- Previous experience as a Field Service Engineer working on laboratory, scientific or pharmaceutical equipment
- Engineering qualification such as BTEC, ONC, HNC or equivalent
- Strong electrical, mechanical or instrumentation fault-finding skills
- Experience with validation, calibration, GMP environments or laboratory equipment would be advantageous
- Strong communication skills and customer-facing experience
- Full UK driving licence
