Based in the bustling dispensary at Hammersmith, you’ll be at the helm of our inpatient pharmacy's clinical leadership.
You’ll work amongst our Principal Pharmacist, Chief Technician, and a fantastic team of Pharmacists, Technicians, Trainee Pharmacists, and Assistants.
In your new role, you’ll mentor and empower our emerging pharmacists and preregistration trainee technicians within the dispensary, shaping the future of patient care.
You will be the go to for any issues and queries from our junior staff, showcasing your clinical or operational expertise.
Our Hammersmith dispensary is a thriving hub, with a diverse range of departments including one of Londons leading renal and haematology services.
- To assist in the provision of a high quality patient focused dispensing service to patients and healthcare professionals of the Trust, associated hospitals and community clinics.
- To provide clinical and professional leadership on a daily basis to all staff working in the dispensary
- To support the Chief Technician in the provision of the dispensing service.
- To ensure service provision is flexible and responsive to patient needs.
- To ensure the supervision, training and development of the trainee pharmacists and junior pharmacists.
Providing mentorship and support to pharmacists and technical staff working in the dispensary.
- To support, develop, monitor and report the progress of trainee pharmacists and band 6 pharmacists whilst on rotation to the section.
- To ensure that dispensary practice is in line with local and national guidelines, and all relevant legislation.
- To help audit the service against set standards and assist in the review of service provision.
To ensure that dispensary practice is such that it supports prevailing financial controls.
