Consultant Cellular Pathologist- Trophoblast

We are seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Consultant Pathologist to join Cellular Pathology at NWLP as part of our highly specialised trophoblast and germ cell consultant team.

You will work within an experienced multidisciplinary team, delivering a high-quality diagnostic pathology service, participating in MDTs, contributing to external quality assurance and supporting safe, effective, patient-centred care.

Working closely with clinical, laboratory and managerial colleagues, you will help maintain high standards of quality, governance and service delivery while contributing to audit, innovation and service improvement.

With dedicated research time built into the post, you'll have the opportunity to advance this highly specialised field and improve understanding of these complex diseases to benefit patient care.

The department has a strong academic culture, with excellent opportunities to contribute to education, training and research.

You will teach, supervise and mentor resident doctors and scientific staff, while developing leadership skills and contributing to regional networks.
