The Chief Engineer will take the lead role in delivering compliance and very high-level technical assurance and advice for estates and infrastructure across several large acute hospital sites across a broad portfolio of premises with varying standards of systems and sources of information.
The role will be responsible for the design, implementation and management of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to ensure compliance with legal/national/NHS standards, best practice and other Trust-wide policies and processes across the engineering, critical infrastructure and building environments throughout the Group portfolio and wider external commissions.
Reporting into the Technical Operations Director, this role is key in achieving Royal Free London Group operational and strategic ambitions. The role is ultimately responsible for ensuring that there is an appropriate assurance framework in place to provide assurance that deliverables are being provided in line with all statutory and mandatory requirements.
