Youwill play a pivotal role in creating a culture where safety, learning and excellence are embedded in everyday practice.

As a Patient Safety & Risk Manager in Sunrise Neonatal Unit, you will play a pivotal role in promoting a culture of safety, supporting incident investigations, managing risks, driving learning from patient safety events, and ensuring compliance with national quality and regulatory standards. Working closely with multidisciplinary teams, senior clinical leaders and governance colleagues, you will lead quality improvement programmes, analyse safety and risk data, develop action plans, and support the delivery of safe, effective and high-quality care for babies and their families across the neonatal service.

Main Responsibilities :

Lead neonatal patient safety, governance and risk management programmes. Coordinate and support patient safety incident investigations and implementation of learning. Monitor and manage clinical risks, maintaining the neonatal risk register and mitigation plans. Drive quality improvement and assurance activities to support compliance with CQC, CNST, ATAIN and BAPM standards. Analyse incident, complaint and audit data to identify trends and improve patient outcomes. Produce governance reports and provide expert advice to clinical and managerial teams. Support staff through training, coaching and the promotion of a positive safety culture.
