The predicted salary is between 22430 - 27414 £ per year.

To assist Pharmacy staff in the provision of basic Pharmacy services in the dispensary, and Top-up services for stores and distribution. You will gain experience in patient services for both inpatients and outpatients, pharmacy and top-up services. You should be enthusiastic, motivated, accurate and methodical in your approach to work. The pharmacy department actively encourages continuous professional development, education and training. You will be supported through a training programme to enable you to achieve the NVQ Level 2 (Dispensary only) in Pharmacy Services.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assist with reception service in the outpatient pharmacy, taking payments and giving receipts for prescriptions and forward for processing.
  • Assist in daily cash reconciliations of prescription charges in accordance with financial policies.
  • Accurately label and dispense TTA’s, in-patients and outpatients prescriptions.
  • Provide a general housekeeping service to the dispensing areas, according to standard operating procedures.
  • Assist in the supply of pharmaceutical products, to wards and departments, in accordance with agreed stock lists.
  • Assist with the top-up service of stock drugs to the wards and departments within the hospital and pharmacy night cupboard.
