We are looking for an Assistant Psychologist to join our friendly and specialist Adult Autism Service, supporting autistic adults (without a learning disability) across Westminster, Kensington and Chelsea, and Hammersmith & Fulham.
Our service provides autism diagnostic assessments, post-diagnostic support, and consultation for adults and the people who support them. We work in partnership with local health, social care, and voluntary sector organisations to deliver person-centred, neuroaffirmative care.
This fixed-term opportunity runs until 31 March 2027, with the potential for extension.
As an Assistant Psychologist, you will support the delivery of high-quality, neuroaffirmative care within our specialist adult autism service. Working closely with experienced Clinical Psychologists and the wider multidisciplinary team, you will receive regular supervision and opportunities to develop your skills.
We are looking for someone who can demonstrate:
- A compassionate, person-centred and neuroaffirmative approach.
- The ability to manage a varied workload and prioritise tasks effectively, with appropriate supervision.
- A collaborative approach to working with colleagues across health, social care and partner organisations.
- Knowledge of, or an interest in, services supporting autistic adults.
- Strong communication, organisational and IT skills relevant to the role.
- ABPS-accredited first-class or upper second-class (2:1) undergraduate degree in Psychology, or a Master's degree in Psychology, providing eligibility for Graduate Basis for Chartered Membership (GBC) of the British Psychological Society.
Our service has strong links with North London Clinical Psychology Doctoral Training programmes and regularly supports trainee clinical psychologists through clinical placements, providing an excellent environment for learning and professional development.
