- Job Summary
An Apprentice Tiler works alongside experienced tilers to learn the skills required to install wall and floor tiles in residential, commercial, and industrial properties.
The role combines practical on-site training with one day per week at college further developing practical skills and theory classes helping to develop the knowledge and experience needed to become qualified tilers and to be able to work competently and safely in the construction industry
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with preparing walls and floors for tiling.
- Measure and mark out surfaces accurately.
- Cut tiles using hand and power tools.
- Mix and apply adhesives and grout.
- Lay wall and floor tiles to a high standard under supervision.
- Remove old tiles and prepare surfaces for new installations.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organised work area.
- Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
- Always follow health and safety procedures.
- Attend college or training sessions as required and complete coursework.
