Salary: £27,009 per annum or £24,545 per annum (Manchester Regional salary)

Contract Type: 2.5 year fixed term contract

Reporting Office: London, Stratford or Manchester, Trafford or Morden Road, CR4 4DA (office due to open later this year)

Agile Worker: 20% - 40% of contractual hours to be worked from reporting office/working location (hybrid working)

Working Pattern: Full Time, 35 hours per week Monday to Friday, 9:00am to 5:00pm

This is an exciting opportunity to join Corporate Services Procurement function charged with delivering significant business benefits across L&Q. During a period of significant investment in new and existing properties Group Procurement manage a total spend in excess of £500m per annum.

We are looking for an ambitious candidate to join our busy and supportive Corporate Services procurement team to train as a Procurement Officer ultimately responsible for delivering a range of services and support to the CS procurement team and wider business stakeholders. This requires an efficient, high quality and a customer focused delivery.

Areas of responsibility will include, but are not exclusive to, leading small value procurement activities (RFQ’s), responsibility for keeping the central contracts register updated, ensuring compliance with both external and internal policies & regulations.

You will be engaged in a challenging role from day one and be accountable for your area of responsibility whilst being supported by your line manager to guide and develop skills where required.

Procurement Officer role is a very important role in the team and on most occasions you will be the first point of contact for our team with the rest of the business so you must be keen and able to have excellent communication skills.

This role is essential as you will play a leading role in the majority of audit and compliance tasks and ensuring the Corporate Services spoke is complying with internal policies.

You will report to a Category Manager in the Tech & Corporate Services procurement team which is a very fast pace team as such there is lots to do and get involved in.

Management of the central contracts register, completing Request For Price (RFP) exercises, creating tender documentation, attending moderation meetings.

Key stakeholders include Corporate Services Procurement team, Contract Management Team & Tech & Transformation team, as well as HR, Finance, Legal Services and many more.

You will be key to update the central Hub around compliance with internal policies and procedures working in partnership with senior members of the Corporate Services procurement team.

What you'll bring:

  • A minimum of 3 GCSEs (Grade 4/C or above), including Maths and English
  • Excellent communication skills, analytical skills and stakeholder management skills.
  • Be able to understand and manage data when requested.
