Contract length: 6 months

Day shift 20 hours of work per week, Monday to Friday (no weekends).

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with insurers for teaching staff and produce annual data to support new cover
  • Cost control and analysis
  • Procurement
  • Prepare data needed for monthly management accounts for the Financial Controller
  • Corporate credit cards reconciliation
  • Contribute to the annual audit process
  • Support with Accounts Payable and Receivable
  • Support with orders, including liaising with suppliers
  • Build strong relationships with school leaders, colleagues in the central team and external partners
  • Develop and enhance internal controls to safeguard assets, improve financial accuracy, and minimise risks
  • Assist the COO and Financial Controller with any projects or specific tasks required

Experience

  • Proven experience in accounts payable
  • AAT, ATT, or part-qualified ACA/ACCA/CIMA
  • Competency with financial software with the ability to quickly adapt to new systems
  • Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and competing demands effectively
  • Analytical, detail-oriented, with excellent organisational skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively
  • A clear dedication to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, aligning with school policies and standards
  • Ability to work really well in a team whilst being a proactive and self-driven professional
  • Quick learner
