We are looking to appoint a Locum Consultant in Hand and Wrist surgery for a fixed term period of six months. The successful candidate will work within a team of four Consultants to provide elective hand and wrist surgery and to contribute to the planned trauma care of the population of Teesside, Hartlepool and Durham.
The post-holder will participate in the elective hand & wrist surgery service and will participate in a separate hand trauma rota providing clinical expertise for hand trauma, working alongside the existing Hand & Wrist Consultants.

The successful candidate will be involved in cross-site working between the University Hospital of Hartlepool, University Hospital of North Tees in Stockton-on-Tees, Peterlee Community Hospital & Musculoskeletal Service, and the One Life Centre at Hartlepool, providing clinical expertise for elective hand surgery and also hand trauma. The Trust has an established separate on call arrangement for hand trauma, which works in conjunction with the core trauma team and Accident and Emergency to provide all aspects of hand trauma services for its population.
