Argyll and Bute Council are looking to recruit a Modern Apprentice for the role of Print and Mail Room Assistant based at Council Headquarters, Kilmory, Lochgilphead. The Apprentice role will run for 1 year during which the successful applicant will undertake a SCQF level 5 Business and Administration course in addition to daily duties.
Duties include processing incoming and outgoing mail, scanning mail and assisting with general print operations and recording figures. Applicants will preferably have experience using Microsoft Office, email and have good communication skills; however, full training will be provided along with mentorship of the SCQF course.

Please note the role is office-based Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (35 hours per week) and we pay our modern apprentices the Scottish Local Government Living Wage (which is currently £13.52 per hour for 2026/27).

The candidate must be a resident in Scotland and have the right to work in the UK. The candidate must be aged 16 or over. The candidate must not be enrolled in funded further education at the time of employment, e.g. University, College etc. The candidate must not have previously completed a Modern Apprenticeship in the same occupational area, e.g. Business and Administration, at SCQF Level 5 or above.
