Were looking for an enthusiastic, organised, community and commercially minded Caf Manager to lead our community caf. This hands-on role covers team management, food safety, menus, stock, finances and customer experience, with the freedom to develop creative ideas, events and opportunities to grow the caf.
As
Café Manager, you will take the lead in running and developing our community café at MACPool Activity Hub.
This is a varied, hands-on role combining café management with community engagement and business development. You’ll work alongside the café team while taking responsibility for the smooth day-to-day operation of the café, including staffing, rotas, food safety and hygiene, stock and ordering, menu development, cost control, customer service and financial performance.
We’re looking for someone who can bring
creativity, energy and fresh ideas to the café. You’ll have the freedom to help shape its identity, develop menus and seasonal offers, introduce events and activities, build relationships with local groups and suppliers, and find new ways to increase footfall and income.
Our aim is to create much more than somewhere to grab a coffee. We want the café to become a
warm, affordable and welcoming community space where families, older people, younger people, MACPool customers and the wider community feel comfortable spending time.
You’ll work closely with the wider MACPool management team to ensure the café complements our swimming, fitness, wellbeing, soft play and community activities.
This would suit someone with café, hospitality or catering experience who is ready to take ownership of a service and is excited by the opportunity to
build something with real community purpose.
