About the role:
To provide administrative support to the Children’s Commissioning Team and Flying Start Programme.
To be responsible for the administration of the Flying Start Childcare Allocation process.
About you:
- You will have the skills to use IT pakages such as Microsoft Word and Excel.
- You will have excellent administrative skills, building relationships with providers and families.
- You will be able to work effectively as part of a team and independently.
- Able to prioritise to meet deadlines.
- Have a passion to support Powys families through the Flying Start allocation process.
What you will do:
- To undertake reception and switchboard duties. Answer emails, Facebook messages and phone calls regarding Flying Start enquiries including childcare enquiries.
- To be responsible for administering the allocation of childcare places for children and their families. This will require attendance at allocation meetings, ascertaining specific requirements, discussions with other professionals and communicating outcomes to parents.
- To receive information from WCCIS and to maintain and update all relevant electronic information systems.
- To liaise with other statutory, independent and voluntary agencies and professionals regarding specific cases.
This position has a requirement for a Standard DBS Check
