About the Role

Due to continued growth, we are looking for an experienced

Welder Fabricator to join our manufacturing team in Livingston.

This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled TIG/MIG welder with hands-on experience working with stainless steel .

You will be involved in a wide range of fabrication projects, producing high-quality components, pipework and bespoke fabrications.

Previous stainless-steel welding experience is essential for this role.

We are looking for someone who takes pride in their work, has excellent attention to detail and is confident working in a fast-paced fabrication environment.

Every project is different, so the ability to read drawings, solve problems and adapt to different requirements is essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Carry out TIG and MIG welding to a high standard, particularly on stainless steel
  • Fabricate stainless-steel components, pipework and sheet-metal assemblies
  • Read and work from engineering and fabrication drawings
  • Measure accurately and work within specified tolerances
  • Complete fabrication projects from start to finish
  • Use hand and air tools safely and effectively
  • Work on bespoke and custom-built projects, sometimes using sketches or limited drawings
  • Identify and resolve fabrication and welding issues
  • Maintain a clean, safe and organised work area
  • Support the wider production team with additional workshop tasks when required

Skills & Experience

  • Proven experience in TIG and MIG welding
  • Practical experience welding stainless steel
  • Ability to produce clean, consistent, high-quality welds
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering and fabrication drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality
  • Good measuring and fabrication skills
  • Strong problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Experience working with stainless-steel pipework and sheet metal
  • Experience working on bespoke or one-off fabrication projects

A welding test will be required before starting.
