The Role
Working alongside a crew mate, you'll be responsible for completing scheduled deliveries and installations while providing excellent customer service throughout the delivery process. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering and installing furniture in customers' homes
- Working alongside a crew mate to complete daily delivery schedules
- Loading and unloading furniture safely and efficiently
- Carrying out vehicle and safety checks before and during journeys
- Driving safely and responsibly in accordance with company procedures
- Providing a professional and friendly service to customers
- Encouraging customer feedback and helping to ensure a positive delivery experience
- Working closely with the wider distribution centre team
- Following relevant driving, tachograph, health and safety procedures
- Undertaking regular manual handling and heavy lifting
- Supporting the wider warehouse and distribution operation when required
The role involves heavy lifting and manual handling, so a good level of physical fitness is essential.
About You
We're looking for reliable, hardworking and customer-focused individuals who enjoy working as part of a team and take pride in delivering a high-quality service. To be successful, you'll have:
- A valid Category C1 driving licence
- A valid Digital Tachograph Card
- Previous experience in a professional driving role
- Good knowledge of tachograph regulations
- The ability to follow processes and procedures
- Good physical fitness and the ability to undertake heavy lifting and manual handling
