Research Development & Innovation at the University Hospital of Liverpool Group (UHLG) are looking for a Senior Administrator to provide comprehensive secretarial and administrative support to the Group Director of Operations Research & Innovation and the Group Director of Research and Innovation.

The RD&I team consists of a Director of Operations Research & Innovation, a Group Director of Research and Innovation, a Business Team, a Research Governance Team, an Innovation team, a Senior Nurse, and a communications lead. The role is pivotal in supporting the Director of Operations Research & Innovation and the Group Director of Research and Innovation, operating at executive level and taking minutes at meetings that feed to the Trust Board.

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required, as is an ability to work independently and flexibly. It is essential that the candidate has demonstrable experience of supporting executive/director level and possesses excellent interpersonal management skills. Knowledge of change management and policy and procedure processes is also necessary.

The University Hospital of Liverpool Group (UHLG) has one of the largest portfolios of clinical research in Cheshire & Merseyside, including a Commercial Research Delivery Centre (CRDC), commercial and non-commercial, NIHR and non-NIHR studies. Research specialties include many disease areas, and the Trust has a purpose-built Clinical Research Facility capable of conducting early phase clinical trials.
