We’re looking for a Plumberto join our team and support the delivery of first-class construction and maintenance services across Liverpool, St Helens and Warrington. This is a mobile role, requiring flexibility to work across multiple locations in line with business needs.
What you'll be doing
- Carry out all types of plumbing work, both internally and externally, including new installations, maintenance and remedial
- Support associated trades such as plastering, tiling and joinery to contribute to our 'one job one visit' approach.
- Plan and organise work effectively, ensuring efficient use of time, materials, vehicles and equipment.
- Operate within scheduled appointment systems, liaising with customers and colleagues to ensure smooth delivery of works.
- Supervise and support apprentices, trainees and other employees as required.
- Undertake diagnostic and pre-measuring work to accurately identify and complete repairs.
- Use IT and communication systems to receive instructions, complete work orders and order materials.
- Make informed decisions regarding repair requirements and communicate clearly with customers when follow-up work is needed.
- Complete all documentation accurately and contribute to ongoing competency and development programmes.
- Drive company vehicles safely and maintain stock, tools and equipment to required standards.
- Manage materials effectively, minimising waste and ensuring appropriate specifications are used.
- Work collaboratively with Schedulers, Planners, CLOs, contractors and other teams to ensure coordinated service delivery.
- Uphold high standards of customer care, quality, safety and performance.
- Participate in an out-of-hours rota where required to support a seamless repairs and maintenance service.
What we're looking for
- Time-served apprenticeship.
- Minimum NVQ Level 2 or equivalent in Plumbing or a relevant craft discipline.
- CSCS card at the appropriate level. You will be required to provide proof of qualifications if invited to interview.
- Full UK driving licence.
- Strong experience in plumbing, building maintenance and construction activities.
- Experience of multi-skilled trade activities associated with core plumbing skills.
- Good customer care skills and a proactive approach to continuous improvement.
- Ability to demonstrate initiative and work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexible approach to varied duties and changing priorities.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with customers and colleagues.
You will be required to provide proof of essential qualifications if you are invited to attend an interview.
