About the Role: As our Health & Safety Advisor, you’ll provide practical, professional advice that helps colleagues, managers, contractors and leaders keep people safe and manage risk well. You’ll support the delivery of our Health & Safety Strategy, carry out audits and inspections, strengthen our management systems, and use insight from incidents, trends and performance data to drive continuous improvement. What you’ll be doing In this role, you’ll:

  • provide competent health and safety advice and guidance to managers, colleagues, senior leaders and contractors
  • carry out audits, inspections and risk assessments, making sure actions are followed through and learning is shared
  • support the development and continual improvement of health and safety policies, procedures, guidance and systems
  • develop and deliver toolbox talks, briefings, campaigns and practical support materials
  • use accident, incident and performance data to spot trends, improve reporting and help prevent future harm
  • support emergency planning, lone working arrangements, contractor assurance and health and safety training activity
  • work collaboratively across Plus Dane to promote accountability, confidence and a proactive approach to safety.

You’ll join a supportive organisation where health and safety is valued, visible and central to protecting our customers, colleagues and contractors. What you’ll get in return This is a permanent role working 35 hours per week. Your main base will be in Merseyside, with travel across our other office locations and sites as required. You’ll be generously rewarded with a competitive salary and a great benefits package, including 35 days’ annual leave, plus bank holidays. This includes a 3-day Christmas closedown between Christmas and New Year and you have the option to buy up to 5 extra days annually. You’ll also benefit from a company pension scheme where we contribute 10%, and colleagues can contribute anything from 3% upwards.
