General Service Manager responsible for Critical Care and Theatres at the Royal Liverpool Hospital.
Band 8a - permanent, full time hours
We are looking for a General Service manager to join the Critical Care and Theatres team based at the Royal Liverpool Hospital site.
The postholder will
- Drive improvements in operational performance and planning
- Work closely with other care group leads within the division, colleagues across other divisions and external partners to enable the achievement of the trust objectives.
- Assist with the delivery of service strategy
- Have the ability to analyse complex data/situations
- Have management experience in overseeing the performance of teams.
- Monitor existing patient centred clinical operational strategies and plans and ensuring that systems and processes are in place and adhered to.
- Lead plans, operational change and strategies within their service and provide and support across the care group.
- Support work to drive the strategic direction and policy setting for the service within the context set by the Care Group leadership team.
- Have oversight of the service level budgets and ensure that the financial requirements of the service are effectively managed.
- Manage workstreams to ensure achievement of the CIP target for the speciality/specialities.
- Have line management responsibility for the staff at Band 7 and below within the their speciality area.
- Demonstrate management skills.
- Provide a visible and accessible presence ensuring the delivery of the overall service priorities and objectives
