An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Future4Me team in Lincolnshire as a Youth and Community Development Worker, working with young people who may need support in making a positive transition to adulthood. The team currently have one permanent, part time Youth and Community Development Worker post in Lincoln.
Please note this is a part-time vacancy (18.5 hours per week) and the salary will be pro rata for hours worked. The 18.5 hours are split over at least 3 different days, and the work pattern changes in term time and school holidays. During term times, there are at least 2 late evenings (working up until 9pm) per week. Thursday evenings are mandatory as this is when we run our ‘core’ youth clubs. In school holidays; we run holiday activities for 4 weeks in the summer, 1 week at Christmas and 2 weeks at Easter – typically holiday activities take place in the daytimes.

We are looking for a highly motivated person to work with individuals and groups of teenagers to help them identify their own needs and plan a positive way forward. You will be able to communicate, inspire and work restoratively with a range of people. You will be able to work on your own and as part of a team. Ensuring the timely and accurate completion of routine tasks, documents and reports in meeting service goals is also key to the success of the role.
A full UK driving license and access to a car are essential for this role as travel around the county is required. Insurance for business use on your vehicle is also required.
